Emobility
Charging infrastructure for e-cars will soon be mandatory.
To support electromobility, the Federal Government is speeding up the development of charging infrastructure.
From March 2021, a charging and distribution infrastructure for electric vehicles will be mandatory around buildings and in adjacent parking lots. According to the Building Electromobility Infrastructure Act (Gebäude-Elektromobilitätsinfrastruktur-Gesetz – GEIG), one million charge points are to be created and at least seven million electric vehicles are to be put in circulation by 2030.
If the necessary electrical conduits are installed directly when the structure in question is built or modernised, it will be easier to add the charge points quickly and cost-efficiently later on. At least one electrical conduit each should be provided for the power supply line and the load management data line, respectively, for privately used and commercial buildings, parking lots, and communal areas alike.
